Breeder Referral is primarily a public education service that helps people make educated decisions about buying a Golden Retriever puppy. It is designed to educate the public and discourage people from purchasing dogs from non-reputable sources. It helps people make educated choices about getting a Golden Retriever and makes sure they have the information they need to successfully raise a dog. Hopefully this program makes strides in preventing impulsive and unwise puppy purchases which result in the kinds of situations that require rescue. We sincerely believe that a sound referral program can pave the way to improving the future of the breed. Click here to download an informative pamphlet to assist you in making your decision.

When choosing a puppy, it's important to ask a lot of questions - about the breeder, the litter, and contracts/guarantees. The Golden Retriever Club of America provides some helpful information to assist you in making your selection.

Badger Golden Retriever Club maintains a breeder referral directory of club members who abide by the GRCA Code of Ethics, have submitted all health clearances to the BGRC Breeder Referral Chair, and are approved for referrals.
